Stormy Weather, part 2

We are often asked , in exams, to explain the impact of Low Pressure weather on people and the environment. Today's weather is a classic example. I came in to check the barometer in my class and it had dropped by 30mb overnight !!

Olympian and Paralympian parade

I was lucky enough to get a great view of the athletes on Friday in Glasgow.I couldn't believe the crowds. I actually go a wave from Sir Chris Hoy !!! Our own Craig Benson was on the float and  was first to be introduced onstage. see the photos below:






Hopefully you can see Craig just to the right of the interviewer.

Weather changes

The summer of 2012 was the second wettest in the UK since records began - and the wettest summer in 100 years - according to the Met Office.
The bad weather could be blamed in part on the path of the jet stream being further south than usual.
