MODEL  MAKING , S1 HOMEWORK

1.FIND SOME CARDBOARD BOXES ( perhaps from the supermarket)

2. CUT OUT THE BASE OF YOUR ISLAND OR MOUNTAIN.

3.CUT OUT LAYERS OF CARDBOARD, MAKING THEM SLIGHTLY SMALLER EACH TIME.

4 PLACE THE LAYERS ON TOP OF EACH OTHER, SEPARATING THE LAYERS.

5. USING SOME CHEAP WALLPAPER PASTE, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO MIX IN A BUCKET.

6 TEAR UP PIECES OF NEWSPAPER, PLACE THEM IN THE PASTE, THEN LAYER OVER YOUR MODEL.

7. LEAVE YOUR MODEL TO DRY FOR A FEW DAYS.

8 USING CHEAP WATER PAINTS ,. PAINT YOUR MODEL. REMEMBER TO ADD IN ANY FEATURES SUCH AS RIVERS, CONTOUR LINES, SPOT HEIGHTS etc.

REMEMBER TO LEAVE YOURSELF A FEW DAYS FOR THE MODEL TO DRY BEFORE BRINGING INTO CLASS.
